The lack of representation and recognition for the achievements of Chicana women posed a significant challenge. Existing magazines failed to adequately highlight the accomplishments of these remarkable individuals. To address this gap, a comparative analysis was conducted, comparing popular magazines with Latino/a publications and drawing inspiration from art magazines that celebrate Chicana culture and artistry.
