Behind The Work

A closer look at the ideas, people, and passion that fuel my designs.

I grew up in San Diego, embracing my Mexican culture, which has deeply influenced my artwork and creative perspective. In high school, I became fascinated by concert posters and wondered who was behind those bold, eye-catching designs. That curiosity led me to discover the work of Alphonse Mucha, whose illustrated style still inspires me today. Art and design have always felt like home to me, and I’m grateful to be pursuing my dream as a graphic designer, with a growing focus on UX/UI.

I have one year of experience as a Lead Graphic Designer at ASCENDtials, where I worked both independently and in collaborative teams, often coordinating across time zones and departments. I managed my time carefully to meet deadlines and occasionally led the design team by dividing tasks and keeping projects on track. My work ranged from flyers, social media posts, and brochures to branding, logo design, yoga cards, and more. Each project began with research, brainstorming, and sketches, which helped me shape digital drafts into designs that truly connect with people. My time at ASCENDtials challenged me to grow, stay open to new ideas, and continue building my skills through hands-on experience.

When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me binge-watching anime, quoting sitcoms, or on the hunt for the next great coffee spot (seriously, send me your favorites!). I also love trying new foods and spending time with friends and family — they’re my biggest supporters and often the spark behind my creativity. Whether it’s a new recipe or a new project, I’m always up for something fun and fresh.
