Hi, I'm Raquel!

More About Me

I grew up in San Diego embracing my Mexican culture, which has heavily influenced my art work. In high school, I was amazed by concert posters. It piqued my interest as to who was the person making the designs for concert posters. I eventually learned about Alfonse Mucha. His work has inspired me even more to pursue graphic design because I also like to illustrate and use them in my designs. Art and design have always been my passion and I have been fortunate enough to be able to pursue my dreams as a graphic designer, emphasizing on UX/UI.

My meticulous approach to art has allowed me to overcome difficult problems. I believe there is always room for improvement, which is why I look forward to giving and receiving critiques. It is always amazing starting a project and seeing it develop into an amazing work of art. I would like to work in a company where I use my illustrator, branding, color theory, and ux/ui design skills to help them grow. My desired frim must challenge me to be creative, innovative, and responsive to the changing needs and preferences of our audience.

Besides art, I like to watch movies, anime, and sitcoms. I love trying new foods and going to new coffee places. If you have any new coffee places let me know. Lastly, I love spending time with friends and family since they are my true inspiration.
